Buy it once · own it for decades

Portable storage

Skip the monthly rental. Buy a portable storage container, have it set where you need it, and own the box for the next twenty years.

Own it instead of renting it

Portable moving and storage containers from the big rental companies cost a few hundred dollars a month, forever, and the box is never yours. A steel shipping container from our yard starts at $2,500 plus tax, gets delivered and set on your property, and you own it outright. Most customers pass the cost of a rental in well under a year. After that, the storage is free, and the container still holds its value if you ever sell it.

Portable in the ways that matter

A shipping container is portable storage in the truest sense: it is designed to be lifted, moved, and set down thousands of times without damage. Our tilt-bed truck places it in a driveway, side yard, or job site. If you move or the project ends, we can pick it up and relocate it. Ask about relocation when you request a quote.

What people use them for

  • Moving and renovation. Stage furniture and belongings on site during a remodel or between homes, without a storage unit across town.
  • Overflow for a home. Tools, seasonal gear, ATVs, holiday decor, and everything the garage no longer fits.
  • Job site storage. Contractors lock up tools and materials overnight in a box that moves to the next project.
  • Business inventory. Stock and equipment on your own lot instead of a leased unit with a monthly bill.
  • Rural and ranch storage. Feed, tack, and equipment kept dry, rodent-proof, and locked.

Sizes

The 20ft container holds roughly the contents of a two-bedroom home and fits in a parking space. The 40ft high cube holds about twice that with an extra foot of headroom, and it is the better choice for equipment, pallets, or a business. Both are available new or certified cargo-worthy used. Compare current stock on the inventory page, and check the site prep guide for how much room delivery takes.

Common questions

Is buying really cheaper than renting a storage pod?

For anything longer than a few months, yes. Rental pods run a few hundred dollars a month. A used 20ft container from our yard starts around $2,500 plus tax, and you own it.

Can you move the container later?

Yes. Shipping containers are designed to be relocated. Ask us about pickup and relocation when you get your quote.

Do I need a permit to put a storage container on my property?

Rules vary by county and HOA. Many rural and residential lots allow a container as an accessory structure; some cities and HOAs have limits. Check with your local planning office and HOA before delivery.

Will my belongings stay dry?

Yes. Every container we sell is wind and water tight. For long-term storage of furniture or paper, some customers add a vent or desiccant to manage condensation in big temperature swings.

How quickly can I get one?

Usually within a few days of your order. Tell us your address and timing and we will schedule it.
