A shipping container shed is the fastest way to get serious storage on your property. A wood shed takes a weekend of framing and a lifetime of maintenance. - Maintenance. No shingles, no siding, no paint required. Surface rust on Corten steel is cosmetic.

Making a container feel like a shed
Most customers use a container shed exactly as delivered: a locked steel box for tools, mowers, ATVs, and gear. If you want more, start with a container that has a man door and roof vent so you can walk in without swinging the big doors and keep air moving in summer. Which size?
A 20ft container shed fits where a large shed would: a driveway pad, a side yard, the corner of a lot. A 40ft high cube is the choice when you are storing equipment, a boat, or a business. Both are available new or certified cargo-worthy used, and a used 20ft starts around $2,500 plus tax, which is less than most quality wood sheds before you swing a hammer.
Where it sits

Is a shipping container cheaper than building a shed?

Do I need a permit for a container shed?

Can I insulate a container shed?
Yes. Spray foam or rigid panels on the interior walls are common for workshops and anything that needs to stay above freezing.
Will it get too hot in summer?
Add a roof vent (we stock containers with one) or place it in partial shade. A light-colored container stays cooler than a dark one.
